This 100-page notebook is illustrated on the cover and each leaf with a view of the Temple of the Love. The Temple of the Love, made in marble and decorated with sculptures by Deschamps, was built by Richard Mique in 1778. It is located in the Marie-Antoinette’s Estate. To get away from the strict etiquette of the Court, Marie-Antoinette had a Hamlet built in 1783 near the Petit Trianon palace. Restored in 2008, the estate consists of 12 small Normandy-style half-timbered thatched houses.
